The boa - constrictor (Boa constrictor ) is a snake that can reach an adult size of 2m (Boa constrictor amarali ) 4m (Boa constrictor constrictor ), rarely reaching this maximum size . Snakes are carnivores that feed on rodents , birds and lizards . The frequency and quantity of food vary according to the size of the animal.
